Joy Omanjie is a 19 year old final year nursing student at the university of Benin teaching hospital, Benin City, Edo state.
Born on 30th Oct,1998 in Benin City, into the Omanjie’s Family of Okhuesan, a small village in Esan South East LGA, Edo State.Joy Omanjie is the 3rd of 8 children in a polygamous setting, and the last child of her mother, Mrs Grace Omanjie who raised her as a single parent. She enjoys volunteering, dancing, modeling
Joy has been involved in various humanitarian projects around her school including regular visits to orphanage homes and volunteering in organized health outreaches within and outside her school, helping to improve the health status of women and children.
Joy Omanjie is currently involved in a project called the Street Child Rescue and Education, tagged #Benin2020. This project aims at rescuing and educating street children in Benin city and presently a total of 39 street children have been registered @ Emokpae Primary school,Benin City. This she hopes will give these children hope for a better future and improve Nigeria’s current indices on the sustainable development goals standings.
